Living in Bang Na
Bang Na is on Bangkok's south-eastern edge, where Sukhumvit Road meets Bangna–Trad Road. It is quieter and roomier than central Sukhumvit, and it is where many international-school families choose to live.
Getting around
The BTS Sukhumvit line runs through the area with stations at Punnawithi, Udom Suk, Bang Na and Bearing, so you can reach Asok, Siam and the central business district without changing lines.
Bangna–Trad Road heads east toward Suvarnabhumi Airport and the industrial estates of the Eastern Seaboard. Traffic on it is heavy at rush hour, so check your commute at the time you'll actually travel.
International schools
The area is often called Bangkok's international school belt. Schools in and around Bang Na include:
- Bangkok Patana School (Soi Lasalle)
- St. Andrews International School (Sukhumvit 107)
- Berkeley International School (Bangna–Trad Road)
- Concordian International School
- Wells International School (Bang Na campus)
If you're moving for a school, tell us which one. We'll look for condos with a realistic school run, not just a short distance on the map.
Shopping and daily life
- Central Bangna and Mega Bangna for groceries, shops and restaurants
- 101 The Third Place near BTS Punnawithi
- BITEC exhibition centre beside BTS Bang Na
Hospitals
Private hospitals serving the area include Sikarin Hospital and Thainakarin Hospital. Larger international hospitals are in central Bangkok along the BTS line.
